A native Texan, Dr. Morrison received a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Texas Baptist College, an M.Div. with concentrations in Christian Ethics and Biblical Languages, and a Ph.D. in Christian Ethics and Biblical Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Morrison serves as Theologian in Residence at City Church in Cleveland Heights, and is a fellow of the Center for Pastor Theologians.

Dr. Morrison was raised in the church, and came to faith at a young age. He and his wife Sarah moved to Cleveland in 2015 to revitalize a dying church, and the Land has been home ever since. Dr. Morrison is an avid Browns fan, a lover of apple pie with black coffee, and enjoys working with his hands. He and his wife live a stone’s throw from their church with their daughter and a (small) farm’s worth of animals.
